Sundays at SRU are for work

As a student of Slippery Rock University I can say that it is a common act to relax and hang out most of the weekend, but once it gets to Sunday it's time to focus. Most of my Sundays consist of studying, school work, and they occasional football game, depending on who is playing. Well, today I spent almost all of my day studying for Anatomy and physiology class by taking online quizzes, reviewing PowerPoint slides, and memorizing how the blood moves through the heart. Anatomy is a very hard and in depth class as most of my fellow HPE majors know, but the knowledge I have been retaining from the course really makes me think of how amazing our bodies actually are. Other than A&P work, the day consisted of some more studying and some homework for Tech PETE, including this here blog!

  1. I can honestly say my day was very similar to yours. I usually switch between studying and watching football. Today I also spent a good amount of time learning how blood moves through the heart step by step. I also took a few online quizzes for anatomy and hope I'm ready for the test Wednesday. Anatomy is by far my hardest class!

  2. I've heard a lot comments on how difficult anatomy is, though I am not taking it until next fall. I agree the workload has picked up a lot, and I do find it ironic I do a lot of sitting at my table, desk or library on a computer. I usually have some time in the evening for recreational activities, but looking at the overall scheme it is funny to compare our free time to our school work time.

  3. I agree, I think Sunday is a great prep day for the upcoming week. While work is important so is play and I think finding a balance between the two is crucial for being successful and happy as a student. I find myself thinking the same thing about anatomy in how amazing our bodies can be! Tech pete and anatomy are two hard classes to take at the same time but with two great professors they make it a little more bearable. All in all I think both classes were a good experience!

  4. I agree! Sunday are my days that I lay in my bed behind my locked door and do all the assignments that are do the following week. Since I am only a freshman luckily this always consists of reflections about my week for Dr. Leight's seminar class along with all our Tech PETE assignments. I enjoy my Sundays because they are relaxing, but I have homework.
